A morning of packing was followed by an afternoon movie and general hanging around in Starbucks. Although we were able to leave our big bags at the hotel, we still had to carry our hand luggage with us and had decided a few days ago that it would just be best to be in one place for a while. The cinema seemed like a good option :). However, we had underestimated how busy it would be and failed to get tickets for anything besides the Prince of Persia, which was predictable but good.
We headed to the airport early after some time surfing the web in Starbucks. We figured we’d be just as well to hang out there as in town, so it was a case of a last tram ride then the airport express to Hong Kong Airport.
We have had a fabulous trip, experienced some wonderful countries and met some great people. We have been lucky enough for people to feed us and put us up all around the world and it has made our trip. When you’re used to eating in restaurants and sleeping in hotels a few home comforts really do go a long way.
There have been so many highlights it’s impossible to pick any favourites. Some of the best bits have been things like the Bellagio Fountains at Las Vegas, flying over the Grand Canyon and the Hoover Dam, visiting Yosemite, Ed jumping out of a perfectly good plane in Taupo, white water rafting in New Zealand, trekking Cradle Mountian in Tasmania, visiting Port Arthur, being in Melbourne for the Australian Open Tennis, driving the Great Ocean Road, our Outback tour through the red centre, exploring the Mekong Delta and our 5 day motorcycle tour along the Ho Chi Minh trail in Vietnam.

We’ve thoroughly enjoyed everything we’ve done, and while there have been some down days, even those are looked back on with fond memories and we both agree we wouldn’t change a thing :D.
So it’s back to life, back to reality and finding work and for me, after being in Asia for so long, back to feeling short again :D. We can’t wait for the next chapter to start.
