A fabulous spectacle put on by a French company featuring clowns and acrobats perfoming and playing musical instruments while suspended from a frame held aloft by a crane.

We had a wonderful evening, kicked off by a meal in Wagamamas then round to Roald Dahl Plas to wait for the main event. While we were waiting strolling artists entertained the crowd.

Then a great cacophony of bells heralded the arrival of a group of clowns who took their places on torchlit platforms - we weren’t really sure what they were doing on them, but when the man in the main frame rang his big bell, they left their platforms and went to the main frame which was hoisted into the air by a crane.

Once the frame had reached a certain height we were able to see that the clowns were now musicians suspended from each of the arms of the frame. In the middle three acrobats performed high above the crowds.

All this was topped off by a firework finale in front of the dock buildings looking out over the bay. A fantastic and truly entertaining and innovative event which was part of the annual Cardiff Festival.
